![]() ![]() I’m so sorry we’ll fire it up right now and it’s the house and we’ll have it served up shortly while you enjoy the entrees. Honestly this was super poorly handled in my opinion, she should of been. ![]() I’m thinking why would I want a soul after entree. She was like eat ur entree and if you still want soup we can make it after. But to our surprise our entree showed up and no soup was to be found, we told the 3rd new waitress who gave us our entree she looked confused and told a different waitress that came back over and was like, “we forgot it you want me to just cancel it for you?” Wasn’t nice about it and very unapologetic, I honestly really wanted to soup but it seemed like it would super inconvenience her she was really trying to have us cancel it so we did. I also ordered their seafood soup between appetizer and entree and one of the waiter even brought us both a spoon. Before our appitizer came they almost served us our entree even though it was actually for another table. We didn’t say anything because we didn’t think it was a big deal. We ordered our meal from who we thought was our main guy the appetizer came out and it looked delicious, however as you can see in the picture the lettuce with shrimp cocktail was missing a shrimp. First thing is that we were being served by 4 different waiters there was no consistency or organization. However unfortunately the overall experience was very lack luster. I was really looking forward to this restaurant hearing all the great things about Jose Avillez and how he’s the best chef and restauranteur in Lisbon. I figure this is a place you go to hang-out for a couple hours and go elsewhere for dinner. I went with a "wine flight" that the waitress suggested.įood - the food menu is not too deep, lots of appetizers, etc. If you like full bodied, medium, dry or any combination thereof they'll find you one. ![]() And to make up for the troubles she offered me a round of 20 yr tawny on the house!ĭrinks - As the name suggests, they have a pages and pages of wines from Douro, Alentejo, Dao, etc. Over the course my time there, they wanted to make place for another couple next to me and the hostess asked me so politely that I literally fell off the chair :). Service - sat at the bar, so no issues in general. the rest of the place is also done up the same way and together a very ambiance. The decor is cool, the ceiling is plastered with wine bottles - gives it an industrial chic feel. If you get there even at 7:30-7:45 you will wait 60 mins without a reservation. I stood in line at 6:45 and there were already 5 parties ahead of me but we got a table. on the weekdays it is possible to wait in line before 7pm (when it opens) and get in. I do not recommend you go here unless you are absolutely prepared to spend ages talking with others to the point where you'll be distracted by how long it takes until your average meal will arrive.Įxcellent wine bar!! The place is always crowded and you will need reservations. And 30 minutes for ALL this? Absolutely overrated. The peanut mousse? A simple whip of peanuts, cream, and caramel sauce. 30 minutes later, our desserts finally come. We order the desserts - 2 Chocolate Mousse and 1 Peanut Mousse. Clearly there was not a limited space but oh well. By this time, there were around 5 tables out of 15 in the room that were empty. Not flavourful.Īfter 1 hour and 45 minutes, we finally finished our food after waiting ages and ordered dessert. The service was just bad, and the food would be lukewarm and so basic. One person finished eating at a point where someone else would only just get their meal. The starters came together, but then the main courses came at completely random times. He was just arrogant.Īs we sit down, we were met by the kind waiters and ordered at around 7:10, but the food only came at random times. Unacceptable, as there should be no time limit to how long we take to eat. When we went to reserve, the host was disappointed to hear we want to reserve at 7:00 pm, and tells us that we MUST finish by 8:30 because of limited space. The chefs, however, take a long time to cook, and the host is rude. ![]()
